Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Etiwanda Avenue

ONTARIO, Calif. (Oct. 23, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Monday on Etiwanda Avenue in Ontario, just south of San Bernardino Avenue.

It happened in the northbound lanes of Etiwanda Avenue at around 4:47 a.m. on Oct. 23rd in San Bernardino County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a witness called 911 to report the collision. The person told authorities a grey, older-model Toyota Corolla struck the victim in traffic lanes.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office and CHP officers responded, but the person died at the scene within minutes of the crash.

A tow truck removed the damaged vehicle for evidence.

Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Etiwanda Avenue in Ontario.
