Fatal Oroville Pedestrian Accident Lincoln Boulevard and Mill Street

Man Struck, Killed in Oroville Crash

OROVILLE, Calif. (Jan. 25, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Wednesday night on Lincoln Boulevard near Mill Street in Oroville.

The deadly collision occurred at around 5:49 p.m. on Jan. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the Oroville intersection and located a man down in the southbound traffic lane on Lincoln Boulevard.

The driver of a silver 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck identified as Felimon Rodriguez, of Palermo, was heading southbound on Lincoln Boulevard. The driver told police he was unable to avoid hitting the man who was apparently walking in the southbound lane of Lincoln Boulevard.

Paramedics with the Butte County Fire Department responded and located the victim down in the roadway. Also, a witness in a blue Ford Mustang pulled over after the crash. However, despite efforts to save the man’s life, he died at the scene. His name and age were not released.

Police investigating the collision do not suspect alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.
