Bicyclist Struck, Killed at Oxnard Intersection
OXNARD, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2021) — A bicyclist was struck and killed Tuesday morning in an Oxnard car crash at South Rice Avenue (State Route 34) and Fifth Street.
A driver in a black truck struck the victim at the intersection, but it’s unknown what led up to the collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the roadway was blocked and they called for the Ventura County Fire Department. Unfortunately, the bicycle rider suffered fatal injuries and died on scene.
Meanwhile, the CHP called the Ventura County Medical Examiner.
Furthermore, investigators are seeking to determine the cause of the fatal Oxnard bicycle accident and liability.
Finally, witnesses may contact the CHP.
