Pedestrian Struck by Pickup Truck in Near Buchanan Airport

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Tuesday afternoon in Pacheco on Marsh Drive near Sally Ride Drive in Contra Costa County.

The collision occurred at around 2:29 p.m. on Feb. 6th near the Buchanan Airport, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Contra Costa officials reported a driver in a Dodge Ram pickup truck struck the pedestrian in the roadway due to unknown circumstances.

The driver in the dark gray pickup truck stopped and someone called 911 for paramedics, but unfortunately the person died at the scene.

The victim’s name was not released.
