Deadly Head-on Collision on 240th Street East
PALMDALE, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2024) — A fatal head-on car accident happened Friday morning on 240th Street East at Avenue O in Palmdale.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the 40400 to 40799 block of 240th St., at 5:23 a.m. on Sept. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a work truck and a sedan were involved and blocking the northbound and southbound lanes.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the death of one person, but there are no further details.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Palmdale accident on 240th Street.
