California City Boy, 9, Killed in Crash on Antelope Valley 14 Freeway

 Fatal Palmdale Car Accident Antelope Valley (14) Freeway (April 5)PALMDALE, Calif. (April 6, 2021) – A fatal Palmdale car accident happened Monday night on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.

A 9-year-old boy died in the rollover crash after he was thrown from the car onto the northbound freeway.

The fatal Palmdale crash happened about 10:50 p.m. on Monday, April 5th, just north of Avenue N, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Car Overturns in Fatal Palmdale Crash

Gary Foster, 56, of Los Angeles, reportedly veered into the center divider before reentering the freeway. He lost control and crashed into a dirt embankment before the car overturned.

The Kern County child was ejected from the 2008 Kia Spectra and died at the scene, police said. The identity of the child will be released by the Kern County Sheriff Coroner.

Three others in the vehicle were also from California City. A 1-year-old boy and a one-month-old boy were treated for minor injuries. Also, a 28-year-old woman in the vehicle had moderate injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver did not appear to be charged with any crime and he was also treated for minor injuries.
