Pearblossom Man, 64, Struck, Killed in Pedestrian Accident
LITTLE ROCK, Calif. (August 24, 2021) – A fatal Pearblossom Highway pedestrian accident happened Sunday night in Little Rock.
A 64-year-old Pearblossom man died while running across Pearblossom Highway. He was struck by a car in the roadway, just east of 96th Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 8:22 p.m. on the westbound side of Pearblossom (138) Highway, according to the CHP.
Authorities say the victim ran from the east shoulder across both the eastbound and westbound lanes.
A 50-year-old Burbank woman was traveling westbound in a 2019 Hyundai at 55 mph when she struck the victim.

Furthermore, responding paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. However, authorities did not release his name pending notification of relatives.
Meanwhile, the woman driving the involved car stopped and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 8:35 p.m. and subsequently closed down the westbound lanes of the Pearblossom Highway. Later, traffic lanes reopened at 10:51 p.m.
