Woman Hit on Freeway After Car Breaks Down
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 8, 2023) — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a car accident on the southbound 101 Freeway Tuesday morning near Alvarado Street in Los Angeles.
The woman experienced some car trouble around 3:45 a.m. on August 8th. She exited her vehicle to check on it when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Fatal Crash Investigation on 101 Freeway
Authorities are investigating what led up to the deadly collision. It appears the woman stopped her vehicle on the freeway before she allegedly walked into traffic lanes.
Sadly, she suffered fatal injuries in the pedestrian accident on the 101 Freeway. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Finally, the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release her identity after notifying family members.
