Truck Hits Pedestrian at I-215 Freeway in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (July 20, 2021) — A deadly 215 Freeway pedestrian accident in San Bernardino happened Monday night near the Interstate 10 Freeway.
Additionally, the collision took place about 10:39 p.m. on July 19th near Colton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a semi-truck struck the victim on a transition road from the northbound I-215 Freeway to the eastbound I-10 Freeway, police said. The pedestrian wound up underneath the big rig truck, but did not survive due to fatal injuries. Arriving fire officials pronounced the victim deceased at 10:55 p.m. on scene.
Meanwhile, investigators seek to determine what led up to the deadly 215 Freeway pedestrian accident. The victim’s name, age and gender will be released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
Additionally, the semi-truck driver is cooperating with the police investigation.
