
Hit-and-run Pedestrian Crash in Long Beach
LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 19, 2023) – A pedestrian died at the hospital Tuesday, four days after a hit-and-run accident at Atlantic Avenue and Market Street in Long Beach.
A driver struck the man around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, April 14th, according to the Long Beach Police Department and MyNewsLA.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital where he later died on Tuesday, police said.
Authorities are searching for the suspect who fled the scene without stopping to help the injured man.
Police believe the pedestrian was crossing outside of the crosswalk when a northbound vehicle on Atlantic Avenue hit the man.
There is no immediate description of the hit-and-run vehicle or suspect.
