Man, 43, Killed in Crash on Avenue 252 in Tonyville
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2023) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened on Avenue 252, east of Road 216 in the Tonyville area of Tulare County.
The deadly crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a motorist in the Tonyville area, just east of Lindsay.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but the man died on scene before he could be taken to a hospital. His name was not released, pending notification of his family.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene without stopping to help the victim. Police are now looking for the motorist, but have not released a description.
The case remains under investigation.
