Woman Struck by Vehicle in Vermont Vista Area
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 1, 2025) – Catherine Jantie Randolph died in a pedestrian accident on New Year’s Eve near a 76 gas station in the Vermont Vista area in South Los Angeles.
The deadly collision occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31st, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
LAPD officers responded to the collision on Century Boulevard at South Figueroa Street.
The woman who died had crashed her car and was stepping away from the vehicle when another vehicle struck her down, police said.
The woman suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead on the sidewalk. The Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner identified the 32-year-old woman who died as Catherine Jantie Randolph.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the collision. Witnesses should contact the LAPD.
