Pedestrian Struck, Killed at Intersection
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, Calif. (May 20, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Monday morning at Colima Road near Fullerton Road in Rowland Heights.
The unidentified person was fatally injured at about 5:50 a.m. on May 20th, in the San Gabriel Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was in the westbound lanes when they were struck by a large, black Lincoln SUV. The SUV driver pulled over and stopped.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the person’s death at the scene.
The identity of the person who died was not released, pending notification of their next of kin, the report said.
A tow truck removed the SUV due to heavy front-end damage.
Finally, police routed traffic away from the crash scene to conduct an investigation into what happened.
