Woman Struck, Killed in El Cajon Crash
EL CAJON, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2023) — A woman died last Friday night in a pedestrian accident on Cuyamaca Street, just north of Weld Boulevard in El Cajon.
The collision occurred around 10:19 p.m. on Sept. 26th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 40s, was crossing Cuyamaca Street outside of a marked crosswalk when a driver struck her in the roadway, the report said.
The motorist stopped and called 911 for help, but the woman died at the scene just minutes after the crash.
Paramedics from the Santee Fire Department responded and confirmed her death upon their arrival, the report said.
The El Cajon Police Department is heading up the investigation into liability for the pedestrian accident on Cuyamaca Street.
