Fatal Pedestrian Accident East Yermo Road and 3rd Street Near Barstow

Pedestrian Killed in Crash on E. Yermo Road

BARSTOW, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened on Veteran’s Day at East Yermo Road and 3rd Street in Yermo, just east of Barstow.

The collision occurred at around 5:23 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11th at the Yermo intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a red Dodge Ram pickup truck struck the victim due to unknown circumstances.

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office and CAL Fire paramedics responded to the scene, but unfortunately the person later died from their injuries.

A tow truck removed the damaged pickup truck from the intersection.

Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Yermo Road.
