Investigation into Fatality on Elkhorn Boulevard
NORTH SACRAMENTO, Calif. (March 14, 2023) — A possible fatal pedestrian accident happened late Monday night on Elkhorn Boulevard at Butterball Way in North Sacramento.
Authorities responded to the intersection around 11:18 p.m. on March 13th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
Police arrived at the intersection and located a pedestrian down on the westbound side of the roadway. It appears the person was deceased upon the arrival of police. There was a vehicle at the scene that was towed for evidence.
There is a full investigation underway to determine what happened. The victim’s gender, age and identity will be released after his or her relatives are notified.
Traffic lanes reopened around 12:48 a.m. on March 14th.
