Man, 41, Killed in Hit-and-run Crash
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2023) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Etiwanda Avenue and Sixth Street happened Monday morning in Rancho Cucamonga.
The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the scene around 7:37 a.m. on Sept. 25th, according to KTLA 5 News.
Police were told a man was struck down either late Sunday night or early Monday morning around Etiwanda Avenue and Napa Street. He was located deceased and lying in the dirt shoulder, just west of Etiwanda Avenue.
Investigators believe the unidentified 41-year-old San Bernardino man had been walking north on Etiwanda Avenue from Sixth Street when a driver struck him.
The motorist reportedly failed to stop and notify authorities.
Meanwhile, the victim’s name has not been released pending notification of his next of kin.

There is an investigation underway by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Hesperia Station.
