Fatal Pedestrian Accident Florence Avenue On Ramp to Interstate 5 Freeway

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (Jan. 24, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Wednesday morning on the Florence Avenue on-ramp to the Interstate 5 Freeway near Santa Fe Springs.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 5:18 a.m. at the southbound freeway’s on ramp.

Police officers responded and located the victim with major injuries and he or she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert and closed down the Florence Avenue on-ramp.

Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal pedestrian accident on Florence Avenue.
