Deadly Collision on Fruitridge Road
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (August 28, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident on Fruitridge Road happened Sunday in Sacramento.
The deadly crash occurred just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 27th, at Dewey Boulevard, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
A driver struck the woman in the 5000 block of Fruitridge Raod in Sacramento due to unknown circumstances, CBS News reports.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene, the report said.
Also, the driver involved stopped and remained at the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the crash and liability.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of the deceased and will be notifying next of kin before they do.
Finally, police are asking witnesses to call 916-808-5471.
