Man Struck, Killed on Highway 101
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2023) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened Tuesday night on the southbound U.S. Highway 101 near Grand Avenue in San Francisco.
The traffic accident occurred at around 7 p.m. on Nov. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

More than one driver struck a Hispanic man, believed to be in his 30s to 40s, on the 101, just north of the Grand Avenue off ramp, police said. A white minivan, a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck and Mini Cooper were among the vehicles involved and the drivers stopped after the collision.
Meanwhile, a FedEx truck driver reportedly witnessed the fatal crash and contacted 911 dispatchers.
The pedestrian is described as possibly a transient person was found between the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes, according to a report by KTVU. The name of the victim was not released at this time.
Police closed down several lanes of southbound Highway 101 after the pedestrian accident to conduct an investigation into what happened.
