Man Struck, Killed in San Martin Area
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (August 11, 2023) — A fatal San Martin pedestrian accident happened Thursday night on U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Clara County.
The traffic accident occurred around 10:51 P.M. on August 10th, near the East San Martin Avenue off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver struck the man as he crossed the southbound lanes of the highway from the center divider towards the right shoulder. The driver hit him in the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the highway.
Police performed life-saving measures on the victim upon their arrival, but he died at the scene. The man’s name and age were not released.
The CHP report mentions two vehicles hit the victim and one stopped.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the fatal San Martin pedestrian accident on Highway 101.
