Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Highway 101
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (August 21, 2023) — A fatal Santa Rosa pedestrian accident happened Saturday night on Highway 101 near the Todd Road on ramp.
The collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. on August 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a black Chevrolet Camaro reportedly struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances. It happened in the highway’s slow lane. A woman from the vehicle reportedly got out and was pickup up stuff from the roadway.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. A tow truck removed the damaged Camaro with major front-end damage and broken front tires.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash. Finally, the Sonoma County Coroner responded to the scene.
