Man Struck and Killed at Armona Intersection in Kings County
ARMONA, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Tuesday night on Highway 198 at 14th Avenue in Armona, Kings County.
The traffic collision occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol and ABC 30 News.
CHP officers reported a 55-year-old woman driving a Kia was headed eastbound on Highway 198 at the same time a man crossed the roadway. The driver told authorities the man walked directly into the car’s path and the Kia struck him.
Paramedics rushed the man to Adventist Medical Center Hanford, but unfortunately he died at the hospital.
Police did not suspect alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash.
