Deadly Crash on State Route 99
STANISLAUS COUNTY, Calif. (August 22, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened last night on Highway 99, just south of Taylor Road in Stanislaus County.
A driver struck a man in the roadway at around 11:55 p.m. on August 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Several other vehicles hit the man while he was down in the roadway, the report said.
Police investigating the collision stated the man was seated on the roadway at the time of the collision, but it’s unknown why at this time.
There is no description of the vehicles and it’s unknown if factors such as drugs and or alcohol were involved.
