Fatal Crash on Hollywood Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2023) – A driver struck and killed a pedestrian early Wednesday on the Hollywood (101) Freeway near downtown Los Angeles.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5 a.m. on Nov. 1st in the southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway near Vermont Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics responded to the scene, but the unidentified person died before they could be taken to a hospital.
Authorities closed down several southbound lanes of the freeway due to the crash scene investigation.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release the victim’s name and age after notifying family members.
