Man Killed from Truck Collision at Chapman Avenue
Garden Grove, Calif. (June 27, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident occurred Sunday morning in Garden Grove on Chapman Avenue and Nelson Street.
The collision occurred about 1:10 a.m. on June 25th, according to the Orange County Register .
A woman was at the wheel of a truck and hit a homeless man. Following the collision with the pedestrian, the woman crashed into a tree. She experienced injuries to her head and legs following the collision. From the crash into the tree, the woman became trapped in her vehicle.
As paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, a man was found 75 yards away from the crash. Sadly, officials pronounced him deceased on the scene.
Investigators suspect drugs and alcohol involved in the accident, but are continuing to work on the case to determine fault.
