Tanker Truck Hits Pedestrian in Fatal Crash on I-15 Freeway
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (April 8, 2022) — A fatal pedestrian accident on the Interstate 15 Freeway involving a semi-tanker truck happened Thursday night near Beech Avenue.
The collision occurred about 11:10 p.m. on April 7th on the northbound I-15, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck struck a man due to unknown circumstances. Someone called 911 to report the crash and noted the man was on the right shoulder, partially in the slow lane of the freeway.
Sadly, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene. It’s unknown why the person was on the freeway at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, the tanker truck stopped and its driver is cooperating with authorities. The truck was taken for evidence and the investigation into the pedestrian accident on the 15 Freeway is ongoing.
