Pedestrian Struck, Killed on I-5 Freeway Near Los Feliz Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 18, 2022) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Wednesday on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The collision occurred about 6:15 a.m. on May 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver struck the person near the center divider.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to find the body down and partially blocking the fast lane. Sadly, the person died at the scene of the crash.
Meanwhile, it’s unknown if the motorist involved stopped following the collision.
Police issued a SigAlert due to a hard closure of the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes due to the investigation.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Authorities did not release any details about the victim at this time.
