Man Struck, Killed on I-5 Near Old Town
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Friday night on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near Old Town in San Diego.
The deadly crash occurred at around 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol said.
A 51-year-old San Diego man driving a white Subaru struck the unidentified man while he was walking in traffic lanes, the report said.
Paramedics responded and rushed the critically injured man to a hospital where he later died.
The man’s age and identity were not released, pending notification of his family.
