Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Pea Soup Anderson’s Restaurant
SANTA NELLA, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2022) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a big rig truck at the Santa Nella Boulevard off ramp from the Interstate 5 Freeway near Pea Soup Anderson’s Restaurant.
The deadly crash occurred about 1:06 p.m. on Nov. 1st in Santa Nella, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told CHP officials they saw the truck and trailer sitting on the side of the roadway. A second witness said the victim fell into the roadway and the truck ran over the victim. The truck continued driving past the pea soup restaurant.
Police closed down the Northbound I-5 Freeway off ramp due to the fatal crash investigation. Authorities are on the lookout for the big rig truck because it’s driver failed to stop.
The crash remains under investigation.
