Deadly Crash on I-80 Freeway in Sacramento Area
NORTH SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 26, 2024) — A deadly pedestrian accident happened Thursday night on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway, just east of the Raley Boulevard North on ramp in North Sacramento.
The traffic accident occurred at around 9:23 p.m. on July 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a Subaru Forrester SUV reportedly struck the person due to unknown circumstances. The person was thrown to the right shoulder and suffered major injuries. Unfortunately, the person died at the scene of the crash.
Meanwhile, a tow truck came to remove the Subaru due to major front-end damage and investigators are working to determine fault.
