SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (June 23, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident at Jamacha Boulevard and Lamplighter Village Drive happened Thursday night in Spring Valley.
The hit-and-run collision occurred around 9:56 p.m. on June 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver struck the victim in the roadway near the 7-11 convenience store where there are no crosswalks, the report said. A second vehicle may have also hit the victim.
At least one of the motorists fled the scene without stopping to help the victim, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and died on scene.
Finally, authorities are searching for the suspect and will determine the cause of the pedestrian accident on Jamacha Boulevard.
