Woman, 41, Killed in Pedestrian Accident
MOUNTAIN HOUSE, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened on Halloween night in front of 214 East Koshiba Place in Mountain House.
The deadly crash occurred at around 7:14 p.m. on Oct. 31st, just west of Tracy, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 41-year-old woman was walking on Koshiba Place behind an SUV that was stopped in the owner’s private driveway. Meanwhile, the 47-year-old man in the Ford backed out of his driveway and struck the woman.
CHP officials reported the driver went on to crash into a garage at a home next door.
An investigation is currently underway into the pedestrian accident on Koshiba Place. Witnesses are asked to contact the Tracy CHP office at 209-319-4300.
