Pickup Truck Struck, Killed Pedestrian at Intersection
BANNING, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2025) — A pedestrian died in a car accident on Morongo Road and Malki Road early Thursday morning on the Morongo Reservation in Banning.
The traffic accident occurred at 5:41 a.m. on Jan. 2nd, in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a white Ford F-250 pickup truck struck the victim due to unknown circumstances.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call alerting them to the collision. Responding police arrived and found the pickup truck and a person down in the roadway.
Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene of the crash.
The driver did not appear to be cited or arrested and their vehicle was released on scene.
