
Pedestrian Killed in Crash in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Thursday morning on northbound Highway 101 and Story Road in San Jose.
The deadly crash occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 12th, just south of Alum Rock, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP responded to a report that a person was lying down in a right northbound lane of Highway 101 under the Story Road overpass.
Also, a driver in a white Tony’s Fine Foods semi-truck stopped on the right shoulder because the truck may have hit the pedestrian with its back wheels.
A driver in a grey or black Dodge Ram pickup also pulled to the right shoulder, but it’s unknown if one or both of these vehicles were involved.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the death of the pedestrian, but there are no further details at this time.
The CHP is investigating the fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 101 in San Jose.
