Man Struck, Killed at Madera Intersection
MADERA, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident at Madera Avenue and Maple Street happened Monday night in Madera.
A driver struck the man around 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 11th due to unknown circumstances, according to ABC 30 News.
Authorities investigating the collision believe the victim was attempting to cross the street when an oncoming vehicle struck him.
The driver in the vehicle pulled over and stopped after the crash. Someone called 911 to report the pedestrian accident on Madera Avenue and paramedics responded. However, the man had major injuries and died at the scene.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault. At this time, drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
The identity of the victim was not released.
