Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Marconi Avenue in Carmichael

Woman Killed in Crash was Crossing Marconi Avenue

CARMICHAEL, Calif. (March 6, 2025) — A woman in her 40s died in a pedestrian accident Wednesday night on Marconi Avenue in Carmichael.

The Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded to the vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Sacramento County, according to the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of Marconi Avenue, the report said.

The woman was crossing in a southbound direction on Marconi Avenue across the westbound lanes, police said.

Meanwhile, a woman in her 60s was driving westbound on Marconi Avenue and struck the pedestrian in the roadway, the CHP said.

Paramedics responded and rushed the injured pedestrian to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Marconi Avenue.
