Pedestrian Struck, Killed at Intersection
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 21, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Tuesday at Rosecrans Avenue and South Broadway in an unincorporated area of South Los Angeles near Gardena.
The traffic collision occurred at around 4:16 a.m. on May 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police officers responded to the intersection located just east of the Harbor (110) Freeway, the report said.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian sustained major injuries and died at the scene. The victim’s age, gender and identity were not released at this time.
Meanwhile, investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were at the scene to assist CHP officers working on the case.
Authorities closed down Rosecrans Avenue in both directions to conduct the investigation into the pedestrian accident.
