Fatal Pedestrian Accident Ontario and Consul Avenues in El Cerrito

Driver Hits Pedestrian at Riverside Intersection

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (May 19, 2025) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Monday in El Cerrito, Riverside County at East Ontario Avenue and Consul Avenue.

The traffic accident occurred around 2:48 a.m. on May 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A driver in a white Toyota Yaris struck the victim due to unknown circumstances. Paramedics from CalFire Riverside Fire Department responded and confirmed the death of the pedestrian at the scene.

Authorities closed down the roadway in both directions due to the crash and investigation. A tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene and it was stored for evidence.
