Deadly Pedestrian Crash at Palms Intersection
PALMS, Calif. (April 29, 20220 — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Thursday at Palms Boulevard and Vinton Avenue in Los Angeles County.
The fatal crash occurred about 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, April 28th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A driver in a Kia Soul was traveling eastbound on Palms Boulevard towards Vinton Avenue when they struck a man crossing the street, police said.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to help the victim, but sadly the person died at the scene, police said. His name was not immediately released pending his family’s notification.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Kia Soul stopped after the Palms Boulevard pedestrian accident. Also, the motorist is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
While it is unknown if speed was a factor in the crash, alcohol and/or drugs were not involved.
