Pedestrian Killed; Suspect Sought in Hit-and-run Crash
PHELAN, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2024) — A fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Monday night on Phelan Road near Buttemere Road in Phelan.
The deadly collision occurred at 7:44 p.m. on Sept. 16th in San Bernardino County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported they located the victim in traffic lanes, but unfortunately the person died on scene.
Meanwhile, the driver involved fled and failed to help the victim. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner responded, but has not identified the pedestrian.
Investigators are working to locate the suspect, but there is no vehicle description at this time.
