Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Lake Tahoe Area of Placer County
CARNELIAN BAY, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2022) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Monday night at Sahara Drive and Lake Boulevard also known as State Route Highway 28 in the Carnelian Bay area of Placer County.
The collision occurred about 10:47 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26th, just south of Truckee, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a black Subaru reportedly struck two pedestrians. The Place County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to the crash scene to help those hurt. At least one of the two pedestrians suffered fatal injuries from the collision.
A tow truck removed the vehicle from the crash scene.
meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
