
Man Struck, Killed on San Bernardino Avenue
FONTANA, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2024) — A fatal Fontana pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning on San Bernardino Avenue.
A male pedestrian was located down on the side of the roadway at around 7:49 a.m. on Sept. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported police responded to 13901 San Bernardino Avenue. They closed down the westbound lanes of the roadway from Banana Avenue.
Unfortunately, the man suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
It appears that the driver involved may have fled the scene, but that was not confirmed.
Police checked a business across the street to see if their surveillance cameras caught the accident, but they were not pointed in that direction, the report said.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on San Bernardino Avenue.
