
Pedestrian, Driver Both Killed in Downtown Los Angeles Crash
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 27, 2023) – A driver is dead after they struck and killed a pedestrian and then crashed into a building on Sixth Street in an accident in downtown Los Angeles.
The double fatal collision occurred around 1:25 a.m. on April 27th on Sixth Street, just west of Alameda Street, according to a report by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The westbound motorist reportedly struck the 25-year-old man as he walked in a westbound direction on the 6th Street sidewalk, police said. The vehicle kept going until it crashed into a building nearby.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported both the motorist and the pedestrian to a hospital. However, despite efforts to save their lives, they both died at the hospital.
The investigation into the fatal pedestrian accident on Sixth Street is ongoing.
