Man Struck on Sears Point Road in Fatal Vallejo Crash

VALLEJO, Calif. (Feb. 12, 2025) — A fatal Vallejo pedestrian accident happened Tuesday night on State Route 37 or Sears Point Road at the Wilson Avenue off-ramp.

It happened on westbound SR-37 around 10:37 p.m. on Feb. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Someone called 911 to report a male adult laying in the roadway. The driver told dispatchers the man was awake and pushing himself up on one arm, while waving at the approaching motorist. The motorist had to swerve, but apparently struck the man near Wilson Avenue.

Paramedics and the Vallejo Police Department responded to the scene, but unfortunately the man in the roadway died on scene.

Investigators are working on the case and the coroner will release the victim’s name after relatives are notified about the death.
