Driver Hits Pedestrian on SR-905 in Otay Mesa

OTAY MESA, Calif. (Dec. 27, 2024) — A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being hit by several vehicles in a car accident on State Route 905, just west of Picador Boulevard in Otay Mesa.

The traffic accident occurred at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday on the eastbound Otay Mesa Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A witness at the scene reported that two vehicles had stopped following the crash.

In response, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert, closing all eastbound lanes while they conducted their investigation.
