Woman, 57, Fatally Hit by Car While Cleaning Up Broken Bottles in Temecula
TEMECULA (August 22, 2017) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in the area of Temecula Parkway and Butterfield Stage Road Tuesday morning, according to The Press Enterprise.
The accident occurred just after 1 a.m. at the intersection.
As per the article, a statement released by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said a 57-year-old woman was sweeping up broken bottles in the intersection when she was hit by a sedan. The car was going east on Temecula Parkway at the time.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies reported that the driver involved stopped and stayed following the collision. The intersection was closed for several hours as the authorities conducted their investigation.
