One Person Killed In South El Monte
SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif. (July 17, 2023) – A fatal pedestrian or bicycle accident happened Saturday near the San Gabriel River Trail entrance at Thienes Avenue and Parkway Drive in South El Monte.
A driver struck the person due to unknown circumstances around 4:05 p.m. on July 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The report did not mention if the person was riding a bicycle or a pedestrian.
It’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident at this time, however, police are piecing together evidence to determine fault.
The fatal El Monte accident remains under investigation.
