
Woman Struck, Killed on Tully Road
SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 1, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Monday morning at Tully Road and Lanai Avenue in San Jose.
Paramedics with the San Jose Fire Department transported an unidentified woman to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The traffic accident occurred around 6 a.m. on May 1st, according to a post on Twitter by San Jose Police Media Relations.
Meanwhile, the driver involved stopped and cooperated with authorities. Also, police closed down the westbound lanes of Tully Road between Seacliff Way and Highway 101, the report said. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes, police said.
The cause of the pedestrian accident on Tully Road, as well as liability, remain under investigation.
The fatality is the city’s 12th in 2023 and its 10th involving a pedestrian death.
