Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Joshua Tree
San Bernardino County, Calif. (April 17, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Sunday on Twentynine Palms Highway (State Route 62) in Joshua Tree.
The deadly crash occurred around 5:14 a.m. on April 16th at Hillview Road in the Morongo Basin, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the person was struck by a vehicle and went down in the roadway due to unknown circumstances.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with paramedics to help the injured person. Sadly, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the fatal pedestrian accident on Twentynine Palms Highway.
